WILLIAM "BILL" TILFORD AND TILFORD PRODUCTIONS LLC

Bill Tilford has been listening to music from all over the world since childhood, and as a brass musician and keyboardist, he tried his hand at playing much of it as well.  Over a decade ago, he began writing about music for various outlets, including for the website Timba.com, which is dedicated to Cuban music, and he also returned to radio, an activity from his youth, to help present new recordings that are out of the mainstream on the air.   He has written liner notes for several albums including a recent GRAMMY® nominee (Vacilón Santiaguero by Kiki Valera) and multiple Cubadisco (Cuba's equivalent of the GRAMMY® awards) nominees and winners.
Bill established Tilford Productions LLC to help bring his favorite music (jazz, Cuban, other world music) to the world.  He is a voting member of NARAS and LARAS, and in addition to his own radio shows, he has been a guest on other  radio and/or TV programs  in Canada, the US, Colombia, Cuba and Argentine Antarctica (Base Esperanza station LRA 36).
